South Coast A tired report from this morning .... rods didn't stop.

I nipped out at 3am for a few casts and didn't leave until 8 or 9am. I had 23 black bream (pest size), 6 1/2 couches (see pic), squid to 2lb 2oz's (35cm), quite a nice sized cuttle and about 4 that hung on to my skerries eel until they reached the surface, as well my first pout on the island (pretty little thing). I also had a goldfish coloured ballan wrasse and I got bitten off by two others (probable culprits) on my 6lb fluorocarbon Mepps rig with ragworm.
I feel completely knackered after 2 sessions yesterday (boat and shore), as well as this one. I might rest up for this rough weather that's on the way in. Either that or get out for more eels and rays.

What happened to that fishes head ffs..?

I am thinking a cuttle got him just after he got on my hook, as they usually go for the brains. Could be a lesser chance of an eel or squid. It's pretty brutal under the sea.

Thanks Shirley, it's so busy when you use rag over here. I've got about 3 reports that I need to post. We have some fantastic tides later this week too, hopefully I'll find a few decent fish.
