First of the season

Had my first session on the club loch yesterday. Got two rainbows early doors then nothing for hours. Finished up with the three best 3lb 11oz. Only the odd buzzer hatching but nothing coming up for them.
Cold bright and calm to start, finished off cold and windy, not the best but good to be out and duck broken.

Nice one thrash, i was in the loft yesterday and took the opportunity to bring the fly gear down, it’ll live in the van for the season, ready for a post work fish at the local pool or the unplanned day off

More than any other fishing mate, I have some good pools localish to me and I find it the easiest type of fishing to drop everything and go when opportunities arise.

I usually keep a fly rod and stuff along with a pre rigged float telescopic rod in the truck for when opportunities arise?
