First Skate

We’ll done Rich, already seen the pictures of course but some cracking fish there.

How does the rotation thing work? Only two people fishing at once or just take turns on the next hook up?

We had a rotating system so everyone had a chance of catching a fish..
Everything about this trip was big
From big baits
To big weights
To big fish..

From there the day got better
After seeing more fish caught by the other fishermen on the boat
My chance came again

A total of 12 fish to the boat with a couple of spurdogs for one dedicated guy.. lol
Winding a 6lb lead up 450ft had its own challenges let alone not knowing if you had a tadpole on it or not ??
Day 2 started a bit slower with the wind blowing a Holley and swirls that made fishing a little testing at times..

Biggest fish for the weekend was a whopping 219lb for one of the guys who had 2 over the 200lb mark..
I also felt for one of the guys who had never caught a 200lb fish but has come close on many occasions..
So I gave him my chance on the rod as I’d had my trip already..

Nice session, i couldnt deal with being squeezed so tight together on a small boat though!
 
It's the biggest charter boat in the UK by a long way - it's like fishing from a floating pier head! A huge mobile casting platform in comparison to others. I wonder who will take over the helm once Kev moves on? I'd say he's a near impossible act to follow personally.
