Currently use the awesome little Nitecore NU25 for both lure and bait fishing though I’m toying with a new one for the bait side of things, something with a bit more light.
Have used Led Lenser in the past and I’ve been looking at the Fenix Shadowmaster but wondered what else might be worth looking at.

Thanks. ?

There are two different versions of the Fenix HM65R

Std version
  • Spotlight Outputs
    • Turbo: 1000 Lumens/2 hours/534 Feet
    • High: 400 Lumens/22 hours/331 Feet
    • Med: 130 Lumens/42 Hours/187 Feet
    • Low: 50 Lumens/97 hours/121 Feet
  • Floodlight Outputs
    • High: 400 Lumens/21 Hours/180 Feet
    • Med: 130 Lumens/50 Hours/98 Feet
    • Low: 8 Lumens/300 Hours/19.6 Feet

The HM65 shadowmaster with red & white lights has much shorter runtimes - less than half the runtime of the std version..
Brightness Levels:
White Light
Turbo: 1200 lumens - 2 hrs runtime
High: 600 lumens - 3 hrs runtime
Med: 400 lumens - 6 hrs runtime
Low: 150 lumens - 14 hrs runtime
Eco: 50 lumens - 40 hrs runtime

Red Light
Turbo: 150 lumens - 4.5 hrs runtime
High: 85 lumens - 10 hrs runtime
Med: 25 lumens - 28 hrs runtime
Low: 5 lumens - 120 hrs runtime

I've got one of these & love it. Decent output when needed & doubles up as a great torch too. Magnetic base, and Pocket clip if you don't want to wear it on yer head! Bit expensive, but if you keep an eye on the website, they have regular offers. Got mine for around £50.
