I’m looking at getting an inner line rod..
Anyone use one that can give me the highs / lows on them..
Also which brands to be aware of..
Was thinking Diawa tournament 25-40 but every where I look is out of stock

Daiwa did them years ago
The interline rods have no guides as such, the line runs internally through the blank.
By all accounts a bit of a faff to use.
The concept was good, the reality was not.
Imagen trying to thread the draw wire then line through the rod on a pitching rolling boat in the pissing rain.
It's bad enough with normal rods!

What’s an inner line rod
Here you go John - this explains the theory, but the video was made 9 years ago and I don't think the idea really caught on.

More recently, (2020) Okuma have released a range of interline rods specially for fishing with Sabikis, where the Sabikis can actually be wound inside the rod!

Imagine threading braid through a 15ft beach caster on a wet windy day

When I was a kid (yes was once) we used tank aerials for fishing the local mill pond, would of been useless for sea fishing.

The rods usually came with a flexible wire with a loop on the end John to make it easier to thread the line.

My mate used one in the Shetlands.. he had no issues at all bringing in 50lb of cod at a time.. even with one line snap it was quick and easy to re thread at sea..
