Any information on the fishing ?? around Porthcowl?
Harbour Wall looks interesting.
I hear that there are deep tides.
What's the best time of year?
Baits etc

Cawl??? Dogfish and straps years ago.

I thought you didn't like Wales ?‍♂️
No, I said I didn't like North Wales.
I've visited the South of Wales regularly through work for years.
But never tried the fishing ??.
The people usually have one leg longer than the other.

In fairness, Portcawl looks a bit like a small Bognor from that view
It's the biggest cara\/an park in the UK or it was. hosts the biggest worldwide El\/is festi\/al where brawls between numerous El\/is lookalikes are common. Many years ago I stayed there with a girls family, came out of the club after a skinful and went fishing. caught a good double figure thornback, which I kept, it was my first e\/er ray and then spent at least two hours wandering around trying to find the right \/an. They woke to find said ray in the shower

PMSL. and yet you li\/e in the EastMids
I may live in Northamptonshire.
But as I'm about to retire, I've worked in many different locations across the UK in my life.
Unlike many people who just STAY I one location ?

but you li\/e in the east Midlands. I wouldn't e\/en go there for a shit
Lol I've moved around all my life been all over the place but allways got on well with the welsh poachers etc,my uncle's in usk know about me but can't speak to them, they apparently used to catch a salmon or two back in the day.

I live in East Anglia, we are particular who we allow for a #hit.
Only fellas with large topped wellies!!!?!!!
Singing Bar Bar Black ?

When on a job with the ambulance service, I once joined in with a rendition of baa baa black sheep with a young patient in the hope of cheering her up (how a strange bloke in a green jumpsuit could settle the nerves of any youngster whilst screeching away about sheep is beyond me, but still!)

I recounted the tale to my sister (a nursery manager) a few weeks later who gave me a bit of a telling off, the words should now be “baa baa wholly sheep” as to say “black sheep” could be considered racist! They are not allowed to sing “black sheep” but must say “wholly sheep”. The sheep’s wool is the crux of the song, not the colour… ??

My suggestion that taking wool from any sheep could constitute as “theft of property” and the whole process very coercive was deemed to be “unhelpful” ?
