My last 2 ray trips have totally messed up my average and thus I needed a plan to put things right.
Forsaking my normal hotspot and chasing the tide out and it chasing me in, I headed a couple of miles further East.
With the beach to myself I set up close to where I had parked, tackled up and sent a bluey seawards, closely followed by another on the second rod.
I could see masses of may rot in the water and did not really hold much hope of seeing a fish.
A couple of hours passed and the baits remained untouched.
Before too long I new it would be time to go. Another blank?
Well no actually.
I had already packed away 1 rod and was about to bring the second one in when the tip pulled round, settled back and then went again.
Happy days.
Upon retrieval, ray number 13 was beached.
13 in 5 sessions. I need another bumper haul!

Well done for persevering. May rot is the worst thing to get off the line.
