Decided to dig the fly rod out this morning after many years of hibernation. I went with a buzzer type fly and within a few casts connected with a lovely little trout.
On the next cast I caught a tree and lost the fly. After a brew and a sarnie I spotted a few fish on the rise so switched to small dry flies had a few missed attempts but overall I enjoyed the day it made a change from freezing to death and blanking on the coast ?

Looks like it needs a wee flush oot with the algae in the margins.

There will be sea trout about it just now.
