As I previously mentioned, my 15ft 3 section Conti rod sticks out of the Shakespeare quiver by about 6" if I have the quiver on 'short', but the rod is always in its original 3 section padded Neoprene bag, so well protected. If you are worried about rod tips with rods in their original bags, put the top section tip first into its bag, so the tip is down at the butt end, and therefore will be at the bottom of the quiver.
