I’m along the coast at Hastings mate and I had the rods out the other morning. From the first of the flood to mid tide the weed was pretty bad, a 6oz gripper was only just holding. Mid tide to high water the weed lessened off a bit, but it was still a bit of a pain. I’m hoping it’s settling now. The tackle shop did say that other anglers were having weed issues too, although braided mainline was helping to combat it. I managed a bass and a doggie, so it’s not impossible. Maybe find a more sheltered mark out of the main tidal pull?

mind you, it’s not just weed in the water off Sussex at the moment, but cocaine as well! ?
