Hi Dave, just spotted you on here too! Good to virtually see you again. I lost contact with most of the good ones on WSF when I was booted. Hope all's well with you?
I am a 75 year old expat living in the south of Holland , fishing beaches in the south delta areas . Ilive on a small Island called Goree overflakke.
I travel every year to Dungeness area in the south east of the UK to fish, with a few friends from Holland.
Have had a tackle shop in Holland but i am now retired and enjoying more shore fishing here and in the UK

And us folk that live in Kent make pilgrimages to Holland to enjoy the lovely countryside and visit towns like Goedereede ... just goes to show that the grass is greener on the other side :) Dungeness is not what it used to be, I think the gradual changes in water temperature, and commercial fishing have altered it for good.

This next two months should be good at Dungeness though, no?

Nobody knows, last year was terrible. I think warmer waters have changed the way the fish move. Add to that the overfishing in the commercial arena and you have a potential disaster. Saying that there have been rumours of the odd small codling , but I would not expect much. I might visit if I can persuade myself it is worth the effort.
