    Had a few hours with some other members from the club at a secret mark on the Essex Coast on Thursday. only had one bite myself and that turned out to be today's dinner a nice 45cm bass. apart from that there was just whiting and dabs.

    That is debatable, I would say that calmer weather after the big blow is better as the fish prefer not to be smashed to pieces in the rough surf at the waters edge and retreat to a safe distance until it is calmer.

    Felixstowe is very good, but it depends on where you fish, the viewpoint is always quite productive and easy to fish, Manor End is another handy mark. Landgard can be awkward at times and if it is windy quite difficult to fish, Have you tried the Tendering area yet, St Osyth, Clacton, Holland...

    Your not the only one I chickened out as well, it looked very nasty on the Felixstowe webcam and Holland was even more exposed to that wind.
