When we were kids we used to swim at the top of Portsmouth Harbour must have been back in the mid 60s before the m27 was built and before a lot of the harbour was reclaimed one day must have been during the summer holidays we were surrounded by huge swarms of ragworms swimming with us never seen...
Didn't think the coppers were interested in that only that he was out after dusk it's on bbc iplayer the presenter said fishing is allowed but not at night
Not sure if any south coast people saw south today on the bbc last night but a guy on there was fined £200 for fishing after dusk on hayling island some forces seem to apply the rules differently

Agree with the leg holder pain in the @rse ,I've got the adjustable legs one and apart from that a good strong tripod (but heavy compared to the Goldsy one) really good on the rivers when you want the rods down low for flattie bashing.
Think it might be the copper crimps
I went over to the veals ones and they are great but so soft I haven't been able to reshape them I always could with the steel ones but just show the copper ones a pair of pliers and they are locked.
Will watch this thread with interest
