    Tronix Tripod.

No offence taken. Still you need to ask if all the guff spouted about it still justifys the price? I see Akios have just released a new tripod. Looks a lot more sturdier... Infact better built all round.. Oh and its only 80 quid.. But then I guess thats aimed at the mere mortals and not...

    Tronix Tripod.

I'm sorry. But there is no justification for the price of the thing. Made in italy. So what? Its still a piece of angle alloy with two bits of tubing. None of the add ons add that overall price. The same stuff can be bought or made for a few quid. So its only aimed at the "profesional" match...

    Tronix Tripod.

I really hope they dont sell any. I have nothing against tronix on a whole. I have my personal opinions on them. I can safely say that I own a tronix branded seat box. But thats because its a copy of others and cost a little less. So in my eyes that was a no brainer. My freind has a naga. I'd...

    Tronix Tripod.

They are the best. Unfortunatly they dont float. As mine went in off a rock mark on the north devon coast. Replaced it with a Parker which I cant see breaking any time soon as there is nothing plastic on it at all. This tronix thing is just stupid. I have fished many years and have some nice...

Shimano Reel Spool Cap Replacement Ideas?

    SeasWest fishing rigs.

I won 25 packets in a raffle at a local match. Kid you not but every single hook had eyes that had not been formed corre tly and I would say 40% of those actually had no points. Now it could be that the person donating them was trying to off load them.. untill I inspected a few packs in my local...

    Another shopping spree....

I returned my AFAW quiver. 2 hours in rain and it soaked the water up like a sponge. Ended up weighing a ton. Could just be me being unlucky but glad i got my money back on it. Bought the century and not looked back.

Veals Online Accounts hardly worth the bother

Veals mail order and the shop you state they closed was actually 2 completely different companies. Veals mail order had nothing to do with the closure. As for your hatred of them thats a seperate issue wich is up to you.

    How to fix this..

Wind A back up onto B. Then as you unscrew A Put pressure/push against the reel foot stem in the direction it comes undone. This keeps the metal bit B 'locked' into the other bit A.

Review What are you using and why do you like it?.

Pair of TT sport Graphex with fathom 15s over the mixed to rough. Pair of TTlites and fathom 12s over the clean. Mono on all my reels as I hate braid with a passion. Fish all over... Mostly southwest or South wales but travel about a bit and rods are always in the Van. The rods are a joy to...

    Ian Golds Rod Rests

Lots of "cheap" versions of the golds available on the bay and elswhere. Not a difficult thing to copy. Think lots are blinded by nostalgia. Parker ( or the various names they are sold under) rests have always been far superier in my eyes.

    VMO tripods (Veals)

VMO rod rests ( Parker) are some of the best rests you will buy. They will last you years. Loads of spares available. More robust than a golds. Far better than some of the shyte you been recomended so far.. I have one that must be nearly 18 years old and it still works as it should.

    Advice Century Graphex Sport.

For those wondering ?? Bite detection is just great. Only managed a few straps and a 5lb thornie but all of them showed on the tip. Thourouly reccomend it if it suits what you want from it.

    Advice Century Graphex Sport.

Thank you. You seem to match myself in terms of casting style. And I am slow in and quick to finish in a cast. I went with a sport and you have perfectly summed up what I needed to hear and what I thought the rod is going to be. Out with it tomorrow so hopefully I can see what the bite detection...
