    To be at peace, and quite, but not always possible with the gale force winds, that always draws you to the shore, the sound of the wave lapping or crashing the shingle.     Shrink tube over Leader Knot

    I would not risk it, would sooner clear the weed off the shock leader knot, if it don't end up on the leader knot, then the weed will slide down to the top of the rig. Taper leaders would give you a smaller shock leader knot.

    Hook size for thick lipped mullet

    Personally used size 6-10 carp hooks patterns, Mullet are probably one of the strongest fighting fish in the UK waters, i would not want to lose one on barbless hooks.
