    Braid on a multi.

If you do split 50/50 on the reels after a couple of seasons you can take the braid off and then re load with the unused end now to be used. So it's not a waste at all, just pre longs the life.

Thanks Jon, very nice of you to say. Halibut are quite a common fish there, but catching them is not easy. Some are proper monsters too, mine was a relative tiddler compared to some of the daddies.

I’ve been to Skjervoy to the North of Norway, just inside the arctic circle. Believe it or not the best time for cod is June/July. We went in August and just missed the best of the cod. The halibut fishing was amazing though. My biggest was 88lb. But one of our group had one to 240lb which...

I do get it Mr Preacher. Tagging is to gather info on how best to conserve a species and learn more about them. It’s essential to their survival. Yes unfortunately a couple don’t go back well, but the Vast majority DO! Now tuck your neck back in and jump off your soap box. If I didn’t give a...

WE were yes. You were talking about 1 in 10 decimation which harks back to the days of the Romans killing one in ten of a tribe, thus classed as decimation.
