I float fish for bass but ledgered they will catch just about anything.

Live or dead prawns fresh out of the rock pools are top bait. Everything likes to eat a prawn. I fish them under a float to good effect and ledgered.

Originally they came with a bombarda stick which sat between the bombarda and the bead and was important to avoid tangles but most of the versions you can buy now don't have them and don't mention them either. Some do. You can search under Sbirolino as well. Just another name for the same thing.

There is a faint pattern that looks SE and no sign of spots. Well done on catching another first.

I do the same. Walk along the tide line looking for line which often has sinkers attached. It's especially rewarding when the visitors arrive in the summer.
