…… only fished the once this last week and that was Tuesday night.

Things kicking off relatively quickly with my first of the evening 29min after arriving

A few cast later I lose one as it somehow throws the hooks 🤷‍♂️ and then I spend the next 2hrs swapping lures and hoping things pick up 🤞
A little after 10pm I eventually tempt another feisty little silver

Not long after this and after another change of lure I hook into something that tears off 😳 a good few yards are pinched and I’m wondering what on earth is at the other end, I play it carefully but it snags up in the weed a couple of rod lengths out, I’m just about to try wading around and change the angle when everything lightens 😢 I reel the lure in only to be left with removing a bit of weed it’s picked up. I’ve no idea what it was or how big it was or wasn’t but rarely do I have any fish run and take that amount of braid off my spool the way it’s setup.
A little gutted ( A lot really at the time 😁 ) I continue on. My patience is rewarded though with this beauty 10min before I’d planned to leave 🙄

A stunning Welsh silver, now……
I fully intended on leaving that 10min later but the mark I was fishing just seemed to come alive and everything switched on! I could hear fish topping and I had multiple attempts at my lure and a couple of fish dropped as I was reeling in, eventually landing another well conditioned fish 47min after I’d planned on leaving 😗 and still 48min before I actually left! 😂

I knew with work I should be leaving but I just couldn’t bring myself too knowing I had feeding fish in front of me, no willpower whatsoever 😂
Anyway, 10min after my 4th I land no5 and the biggest of the night

Picture doesn’t do her justice as when I picked her up to return her she flared all her fins, absolutely stunning but the unfortunate downside of fishing alone at times as you only get the floor shots and not the ones in hand.
Well I couldn’t stop there 🙄 convincing myself I’d only have another 3 casts 🤦‍♂️ I did get a 6th but it was only a little one to finish

I did the “ last 3 casts “ again before dragging myself away, difficult knowing the fish were there……if only it’d been a Thursday or Friday night session I’d probably have still been there 😁

Great report mate, lovely pics too. And some nice bass. 🎣 🎣

Ian.
