[Stoker]

Had a trip down to Bradwell near the power station. Fished the tide from 1pm up to high tide at just after 6. Good bites from the start on 2 hook flapper. Expected just to be whiting but ended up with 15 dabs and a smattering of whiting. A couple were in size.
Very enjoyable session not being plagued by whiting.

I used to love catching dabs when fishing the Kent coast years ago but now living in Dorset they are very hard to come by (for me anyway!) around the Christchurch beaches.

Sounds like a good session, do like a dab! They can be targeted here but every year I seem to promise to go for them then get sidetracked.

Maybe over the Christmas period…

Great Session on The Dabs . They Show up Well down here in South West Wales this Time of Year good Sizes too along with some Decent Flounder. Me and Mate had 44 Dabs and 6 Flounder last Session on them.

I remember a match I fished back in the mid 90’s at princes parade, Sandgate.
I weighed in a bag of 32lb of Dabs and came nowhere!
Looking back now, I’m glad the catch and release and points systems have been brought in these days
