Fixed spool spare reel covers

I for one like to look after my tackle and was looking for something to protect my spare fixed spools while they are in the seat box.

manged to find these on Amazon and an 8000 fixed spool fits in them perfectly and only £8 for 5 they are a bargain.

Bubble wrap works as well and cheaper, especially if you open delivery box and salvage a load.

I too like to look after my gear and all of my surf reels are in Breakway reel cases. I never carry spare spools, I prefer to carry a spare reel.
Similar drawstring bags to @meirion658 for my smaller spinning reels, Poundland were doing small zip toilet bags for £1 and I've got xome of them too.

They used to be a lot cheaper, and Norman at Breakaway let me have 4 for £20.

The reel sleeves from @FishAmaniac are good too, but I managed to get hold of a used motorcycle inner tube just a fraction smaller than the 8000 reel spools, and stretch a bit of that over to keep the line in place. Can't beat a free solution!

I just leave mine on the rod in my padded rod hold-all.

I put mine in old thick socks . They cost nothing because usually I manage to lose a sock along the way and save the odd one left for tackle duties.
