Some years back there was another 'Ironman' there, it was chaos, no advance warning, stewards who didn't know they were in Dorset who had no idea of diversions.
I raised the matter with the council
'It was advertised in the local papers'.
It's a town depending on tourists, people who don't buy Weymouth papers.

Never bought a paper in my life. Its on the radio, paper, notice boards, road signs etc. gives plenty of notice. Always worth checking a couple of weeks in advance before travelling down.
