North Wales Last couple of Weekends

Weekend before last
Thankfully the Met office got it right and the wind stayed doing what it said it was gonna do, so this meant another doable session on the tope with no nasty surprises on the swell front. Managed one tope of 31 lb 1oz:

but then it went quite for a while after that until the tide turned, then I had two huss in quick succession:

One of those sessions where you wanted to stay for the “what if” but couldn’t cuz of work.

All fish fell to frozen mackerel.

Weekend just gone:

Wasn't brimming with confidence this weekend but you ain't gonna catch sat at home and you never just know. A deceptively calm sea but with long period swells coming in out of nowhere caught me out a bit landing this, hence the wet trousers. Best tope of the year for myself coming in at 42 lb 2oz.

Again on the frozen mackerel as I've caught nothing spinning the last two weekends with the sea being so murky apart from one surprise garfish:
