South Coast Nudist Left overs ..

.. had a bit of black lug left over from the weekend so headed down to the nudist beach in eastney Portsmouth.

Fished 0700-1100. High at 0830.
No wind and actually pretty warm!

Only fished 1 rod as there was a fair bit of weed about and it was pretty choppy.

Alternated between - 3 hook clip down with black lug topped with squid on size 4 hooks and squid/sprat wraps on a bagnal bar with 2/0/circle hooks pennel.

Started off in the dark and finished in blue skys and sunshine which was very welcome after 2 days straight of rain and gloom.

No bites until and hour after high, then I had a few rattles retrieving a brace of tiny little things.

Next cast with the bagnal bar rig and got a nice looking bite and felt pretty weighty with a nice bend in the rod, no much fighting then it got pretty hard to reel in through the surf and low and behold a coiled up dog fish and a bass on the circle hook.

No more bites after that and ran out of bait so had a few practice cast with the multi to end a nice session in the sun.

Nice report, seems to be a few bass still in the Solent this year.. you picked that weather spot on!
