Only a week late with a report. Headed to chesil late Saturday and the plan was for bream and codling with a chance of a trigger. Took rag some frozen blacks and some peelers. Was fishing for a hour or 2 with no bites then had a really good pull down on my left rod and then some line disappearing off the reel. Had no idea what I had hooked into. After 5+minutes of fight the fish I was rewarded with a nice trigger. Then had a few more hours of nothing. Then had another trigger. Again went quiet getting near to darkness I thought I would chuck some feathers out and get a mackerel or 2 and then try for a conger in darkness. The mackerel seemed to have disappeared. So with only frozen blacks and peelers left it was time to go hard for the codling. Probably 10 crab baits put out resulted in one codling. Only 3 fish in the trip but super happy with them.20220827_222200.jpg
