So following from my previous thread about Innerline Rods.
I purchased a Penn regiment 111 interline 12-20 from EBay.

First impression when it arrived was it looked strange..
Reading the instructions was easy enough and it came with a wire for aiding in threading the line through ..
I found I could also use 50lb mono to also push through if I forget the threading wire..
So with braid threaded and a rubber bead stopper to protect the rod end..

First day out proved sensible with DEE89BD6-A595-4715-A207-4B0C0E7487D9.jpeg

Not much in the way of testing fish but from feathering for mackerel..
Running line out in the tide
Delicate scad and bream bites definitely registered well enough..

With about 15 eels but nothing sizeable
Bites were easy to detect and strikes gave a big bend in the rod showing it had some power ..
But no testing fights as such .

A small Ray gave a bit better bend and some thumps but nothing to testing..

All in all
Easy working rod
No hassles of catching eyes at all..
Even with the rod sliding about I had nothing to worry about..
Only concerns I had was damaging the tip and how the tip blended in with the background , making some delicate bites hard to see from certain angles ..
but I think if I spray the tip a different colour such as red will make a massive difference..
The next few fishing trips I’m sure will test it better and give me a better feel..
But so far pleased with the purchase just need better fish to test in now

Nice one Stoney! Be interesting to see more when it gets some more outings! ????
