North West Southport

[Stinger]

Hi all not to shore if I'm on the right part. But I'm working in Southport next week and was hopping to have a fish one evning. Could any one point me in the right direction please

Not fished it myself but the tide goes out a very long way. From what I remember lots of gulleys and banks. I'd be looking to fish last 1 or so down and over low but it could be a bit sketchy

The tide there goes out a ridiculously long way! I live across the estuary but have never fished Southport. I believe that the Formby/Crosby areas can have good bass fishing but again I've never fished there primarily because of the drive involved versus the proximity of "better" marks closer to my house. Sorry I can't help further, I'd suggest Wirral Sea Fishing forum for further research. All the best?
