Fished Calshot in front of the huts nearly the same times as you and it was the same, a dog fest only fun part was one rod was a 2.5lb carp rod cast short for bass or A flatty, neither of these but dogfish are fun on light gear and good to get some bites.

Fished the above last night high tide just after 7pm bit slow for a while in day light, then just about non stop ran out of bait around 9.30, but really good session with 6 species, bass, d/fish, straps, w/ting, pout and a pup smooth hound. All on ragworm as a last minute trip. Pout & w/ting...

Know that mark, squid and anchovy or maccy wraps, and cast either side to avoid worst of the snags 🎣

Just in from Southbourne, very slow one small bass, 6hrs with 3 rods out. Saw a few other rods out so hope they had better luck.
