North Wales Up and running for ‘24

Great effort! They look big compared to the goldfish sized bass I normally catch 🤣

    South Coast 2024 round 2.

Lovely stuff. With that water clarity did you see any fish taking the bait?

    AFAW 6 and bait 14ft FS mk2

I use a 12’ Multi and 14’ fixed spool and like them both for rough conditions. The 14’ is heavy though.

South East Disappointing Dungie and dealing with North Kent weed

I’ll give it a go. Any tips on catching, or is it as simple as a shrimp trap near the weeds with a lump of oily fish?

South East Disappointing Dungie and dealing with North Kent weed

Yeah it was, never done it before in the sea but will be a staple during the summer from now on!

South East Disappointing Dungie and dealing with North Kent weed

Afternoon all, Had a week off work and managed a few sessions. I’ve been wanting to stay local but there’s so much weed in the Medway it’s almost impossible to fish especially after the strong wind. So after digging a few score of fresh blow lug I headed over to Dungeness…. 7 hours of fishing...

    South East Thames oddity

Never seen one in the UK, odd catch indeed! Apparently good eating, did you keep it?

South East Fishing local - Medway

Probably an hour and a half. Sore back but worth it with the cost of bait these days - this amount is plenty for three sessions plus I gave a couple score to my neighbour.

South East Fishing local - Medway

Evening ladies and gentlemen, Said it before but I’ve gone off driving for 70 minutes to Dungie / Hythe to catch pin whiting so decided to focus local and see if I can catch anything. So this thread is dedicated to the Medway and spots I can walk to! Today started off by digging some lovely...

    South West Advice please!

You can fish the harbour but you need a licence. It’s free and you can get one from the harbour masters office. At least that is the case when I checked last… Seen loads of fish in there including the biggest bass I’ve ever seen - its caudal fin was as big as my hand! Apparently strips of bacon...

    South West Advice please!

We go to Padstow every year and I fish every time with varying success! My favourite spot is Trevose Head because you can spin for pollock which we don’t really get on the North Kent coast so something a bit different. Biggest I’ve caught probably 2.5-3lbs so not exactly big but lots of fun...

South East A cost saving experiment

I’ve had a few trips to Dungeness this Autumn and they’ve not been great, loads of pin whiting and nothing decent. I always dig my own bait to reduce costs but even so the petrol needed for the 100 mile round trip to catch pins left a sour taste… So last weekend I decided to stay local and...
