Thanks. Yes, it was a good looking ray with only a few thorns on it's underside. A headless dab indeed...took the photo after I had removed the head and guts...and definitely a dab...sandpaper feel all over. :)

Fished in the vicinity of Sandown Castle Community Gardens, Deal on Friday (19 November) from 7.30 pm until 2 am. High Tide: 11.33 pm. Wind: WSW 7 – 9. Weather: unusually mild. Bait: squid, rag and bluey. Outcome: whiting fest (although some reasonable) and a half decent dogfish. Enjoyable...
