Went down aberdaron beach last night for the last two hours of the tide, I had already checked it out for weed in the afternoon and it was surprisingly clear.
Tackle was mackerel feathers with the tinsel removed and 5oz breakaway leads, bait was rag and mackerel.
Ordinary rigs would have been useless in the heavy surf.
I baited two hooks with rag and two with mackerel, my mate just used mackerel.
We had bites from the start, plenty of small coleys out there, my mate had a good fish on but it took his braid over a rock and pinged it.
I never had a fish on the rag, they just wanted the mackerel.
Hopefully going for a longer session tonight.
