Took the LRF rod and gear for an outing last night, got four small Coalfish on catch and release. Nothing spectacular but so good to get a fight and see the rod bend again. Mojo for fishing has been refreshed again. Look forward to warmer seas and more variety on the fish front.

Location was the Zigzags pier at St Monans and was out for an hour before high tide till an hour or so after. Nice wee ripple on the water.

Cheers
Jamie

What were you using on the end lure wise?
I was using 4 quick-hitch lures, 2 times 7g fish head jigs with small hooks with different coloured soft plastic bodies, 1No.10g blue coloured small metal minnow with trailing small hook and 1No. small white ball jig with a No.1 hook attached and soft plastic body. All 4 caught a fish, the white ball jig was the last one I used and it caught the biggest Coalfish which was around a quarter of a pound( good wee fighting fish).
