We are off to Madeira next month and it turns out in the post covid world the way you get your licences has changed. So below is a link to the Madeira website, you need to register an acoount before you can buy the required licences;

https://simplifica.madeira.gov.pt/services/8-26-1

It cost me €4 for a holiday 30 day licence for shore fishing and approx €4 for the trout one.

Hope this helps those venturing out there.

:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: If you have never been before, let me warn you that landing at Funchal airport the first time is interesting :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

When we used to go, I would always take a couple of charter trips, a 'grande' (1000lb) fish is very possible there.

Last time I was there, only a port in Funchal no airport at the time. Fishing was excellent then.
