So Pete, Tom and I hit the back end of abbo last week to try for a elusive cod
The whiting and pout were on it in minutes
but you have to fish thru them
Usual baits blacks and squid
Around 9pm had a slow pull followed by
a good wack .... result 8lb 6oz cod result!!
Luckily to land this one in the surf as hook pulled and my wingman pete@chesilpete
Heaved it up the beach thanks mate
even if you did get a boot full of the finest
English Channel ha !!
We all stood looking at this magnificent
fish good shape and markings and thought
this is why we fish makes up for the hard sessions , a great team fish
So keep the faith

Nice cod!

If it's a team fish does that mean that you have to give a fillet to everyone there though? :( :rolleyes:
 
Well done on the cod and top marks to Pete on the successful rescue mission

I have plenty of my own fillets this year! and I did not get my bollox wet getting mine!

I don’t think you’ll be on strictly this year
you need to pull more shapes on the waters edge ... then I’ll give you a 7
Where’s the terrible twins Gary and Gary ??

Its Halloween Gray its their busiest week of the year...... they can actually go out n look normal for a week.
They are probably putting rat poison is some cakes for the trick n treat kids at the moment.

Great fish grey wish I could have made it looks like I turned up a day late bud
 
Proper job! Nice fish! Wish I could get one like that off the beach here.

did any of you notice I had my tsf hoodie on for the first time, must be lucky!!
Great when a plan comes together and share with mates
