After a long walk towards bexy managed to get set up a couple of hours before the light went. Bites on the first cast, produced sizable plaice on both rods, this continued for the remaining daylight with plaice on every cast, some double shots, a codling plaice double shot added variety. Then the first of the sole appeared, decent fish of around 1lb8oz. This continued into darkness, lost count of the number of sole, a double shot of tub Gurnard added variety, then a few pout, couple more tubs. Packed up before midnight as wanted to get some sleep before fishing the morning high.
Overslept Saturday morning, managed to get set up west of the bird sanctuary around the morning high water. The fishing was excellent, plenty of codling, bream, plaice and 3 triggers between us. Only kept the deep hooked fish, everything else went back. All the fish fell to a mixture of rag, black lug and squid, on loop rigs. As soon as we lost the tide the fishing went dead. All in all a brilliant session, a great laugh and a proper adventure. No monsters, but plenty of action, love it when chesil fishes like this.
