This sea fishing talk is great, what we would like is is more about what it’s being caught and where ? . We have been on the pier at Penzance ,3 hours at the right tides, one small Mackerel?
Went to Mevagissey same there ?. Must be these large factory ships ?

Might of just been an unlucky day? As sounds like there's a fair few fish around at the moment down that way . Are you just after mackerel ?

My advice is talk to the local anglers, they might be able to help you mate, tight lines for next time you go ??

Fish do come & go, and the weather, tides, atmospheric pressure, and other things do make a difference.
Have a look at https://tides4fishing.com/uk/england.
Set it to your location and it will give you an idea of what affects the fishing in a given area.
I went out to a mark a few weeks ago and there were loads of Mackerel about. Went to the same mark last week and blanked, as did everyone else within sight.
If the conditions are right, and the fish aren't there, you ain't gonna catch 'em!
