Yep, Sunday night had a few hours to kill so did about 3hrs down with 3 lads over high....had a good chat and we all blanked
However, I did go Friday, took a long walk and again was looking at a blank after 3 hours, (conditions were not great too rough for the shallow mark), when I had a nice bite on half the herring I caught Monday
Thought it might be a nice cod by the fight in the waves, but turned out to be my biggest thorny for a couple of years at 11lb....happy days.
I just needed more depth I think....shame there was a lot more swell than I was expecting!
A 2nd bite produced a small strap and that was it, time for the long walk back .
Onto yesterday, I fancied a few fish, needed a shanny for my comp, so after a bit of debate ended up going to Exmouth. Never fished it in the winter, but had plenty of fish there in the summer.
It turned out to be a blenny fest....must of had 20+ shannies and even more Tompots!....most were on the smaller side but still kept me busy.
Amongst the blennys there were a few wrasse, and a small mullet.
As it got dark there was a fab sunset, and plenty of Pollack showed up...best prob a lb once it was properly dark.
The last pic was of a young lad casting into the sunset....one of two lads I had the pleasure of fishing along side for the afternoon.....the youngest one actually caught the biggest fish...a lovely wrasse....well done again if your reading this
Cheers all.
