I never fished any of those waters but I used to travel out that way regularly to fish Leighton reservoir. I once qualified for the final of the annual Theakston sponsored competition which was fished at the end of the season the day after I got back from 2 weeks in Tenerife. There was a strong north wind and it was freezing up there. It was good fishing up there generally though.
