Had a trip down to bardsey sound today, lots of sea fog on the north side of the lleyn but bardsey was clear, lots of fish from the start with some nice pollock nudging double figures, several nice Ballan wrass,, codling, cuckoo wrass and mackerel.
I wanted to spend a few hours on the tripod’s but the fog never lifted, in fact bardsey island never showed itself, just the top poking through occasionally.
Soft unweighted plastics on a 8ft trace with a slow retrieve did the damage, tried a weighted plastic but the wrass leapt on it before the pollock got a look in.
