I got a fishing pass yesterday so grabbed my lure gear and went , the mark I chose was a flood tide mark with high around 6.20 pm , I got there at 3.45 my second cast bass on wow , on a big patch . Was I surprised as it was a blazing sun . I thought here we go but sadly not , I saw loads o bass following my lures and turning at the last moment, quite a few swirls behind the lures , so I tried shallow diver a deep diver a seeker and finally I found the fish on a FBM but they were wrasse and nice size rod bending wrasse 5 in total biggest was around 4lb I recon, I had one more bass on the surface as high tide approached , so I had 2 and a half hours and caught 7 fish not bad .12A70636-035F-45EB-A01F-8851361DA726.jpegD12A1D8D-B2DB-4156-A5CF-22F5B5EE7A3E.jpeg849869E6-119F-4D41-96B9-675A8A999E43.jpeg74ED4B71-57CE-451B-B31E-D0C24A0822D8.jpeg78C16D65-6F70-48C2-8634-71A487BEC544.jpeg4ACD0083-6D86-4AB8-B99F-1980A12F1169.jpeg

Well done John, great session there!

Must admit I’d probably rather catch the wrasse than the bass!
I was glad I had my landing net for the wrasse no way was I lifting them out of the water using my rod , when they hit the FBM the lure just stops then they take line , great scrap at first, and a great sight to see them coming up in the clear water

nice fish, i don't think i have ever caught a wrasse ( may have as a kid)
Do they fight like a bass?

Nice one John! Good session, nice report & great photos. ??
