I have used my trakker rod hold-all for fifteen years… in freshwater situations.. used it three times for beach trips and now the zipper is full of sand and salt and it refuses to open..🙄

Not a bad tip..👍
I have done similar with the jet washing but I found a squirt of silicone spray and then a rub with a cloth was much better than candle wax. It makes the zips much smoother and lasts a lot longer than the wax, as well as giving a bit of waterproofing protection. Aldi, Screwfix or Toolstation all sell it, although it's a bit hit and miss when Aldi have it in.

Looks very cheap and cheerful, probably fall apart after a few beach sessions. But you get what you pay for.. ;)

Ian.

I tend not to bother with them but mainly because they’re not much help for the more unsociable hikes I sometimes do.
Hopefully pays off for your beach trips - let us know in a few weeks how it’s doing?
