With the warm weather still hanging on Dave and i decided to try for some summer species before the whiting invasion starts.
We both fished 3 rods i used a 3 hook flapper a 2 hook loop rig and a pat pennel.
First cast resulted in a small pouting [blank avoided] the next 3 fish were 2x smoothounds and a rockling ,then the whiting turned up,fish almost every cast another smoothound more tings a bass another hound andmore tings.
Finished with 30 fish 1x pouting 1x rockling 1x bass 4 x smoothounds and 23x whiting,Dave had a few pouting 1 or 2 hounds and some whiting.
Enjoyable evening and a few summer species.
