Tips for a newbie in shore fishing

Hello everyone,
I am a newbie in shore fishing and I'm looking for any tips on what equipment I should buy to have it for a long time, what baits i should use to catch some bigger fishes etc. I will appreciate any tips or tricks

I would go to where you are thinking of fishing and check what others are using.

And remember you do not need to spend mad on the same stuff others have, there is no guarantee dear tackle catches more.
