My brother gave me a call about 7pm saying he was fishing the Middleton pier so off I went. From the first cast at 7.30 till the last at 00.30 it was bedlam with the whiting I was putting massive baits on of blacks and bluey within seconds of the bait hitting the sea bed the rod tip was rattling.
Every cast resulted in whiting some good sized ones as well but they all went back. In the end I was just baiting up with bits of squid on a pennell rigs and getting 2 at a time.IMG20211230001236.jpg I must of had over 90 as I stopped counting at 71. No codling caught throughout the night there was about 8 anglers on 3 still on there when we left with two carrier bags said they were making fish cakes ?. The big piggy hunt continues. Off to bed for now???.

Did you try a live bait rig for the sea pigs?

That's a serious amount of winding, who needs a gym membership.!

It was mental my arms were killing me after that session. My brother went down the night after and got nothing strange how they can just disappear.
