    Well, that's Sad Saturday news.

I will miss Fisho, partly because that's where I fished as a kid, his unhooking method has possibly saved a lot of deep hooked fish. If you know everything about fishing (I don't), then his videos are not for you.

    Shock leader/rig line recommendations

Not being an expert, I would think the sort of fish we are likely to catch won't exert anywhere near 18lb,unless a Cornish Tuna emigrates! I thought about tapered shock leaders, but I think I would get through them pretty quickly, unlike fish I am brilliant at hooking snags.?

    Shock leader/rig line recommendations

Now it's about the cheapest of the "known" brands, you still only get 40 metres, I've found the spool I'm going to replace has a lot of memory and it isn't great for knots. Anymore than three turns on the line and it's a bugger to cinch up. My original yellow variety wasn't like that, but it's...

Well it's interesting that Grease Weasel seems to have been replaced as people's choice, mind you it was about 20+ years ago that it was highly recommended, thanks everyone.

I use it for shock.leader and rig body, thanks for the recommendations everyone

    Shock leader/rig line recommendations

Just about to replace my Greased Weasel 60lb line, I've found it not as good as it used to be, mainly due to memory and difficult to knot easily. Not sure if they have changed it or I had a duff reel. It was the clear variety, previously I had the yellow, probably no difference, but it seemed...

    VMO tripods (Veals)

I have one local who is wise enough to wait until Spring, I am restricted by age and health for many of the better marks though. I will try to reach out for help though, good idea.

    VMO tripods (Veals)

I've gone for the 4'6"-7 foot one from Veals, it's got to be better than my ultra cheap three legged fall over type. Just wish a fish would feel sorry for me, lost count of blanks, I am helping the Cornish fish stocks though?

    VMO tripods (Veals)

Just re read the Shakespeare description, missed the adjustable mention for the back leg, well done for spotting my deliberate mistake?

    VMO tripods (Veals)

Now looking at the VMO 4" 6" -7 foot one, it has the extra foot recommended by Trampstser and the leglocks recommended by Popbob, all for not much more. The Shakespeare one is a lot more money, and mostly out of stock, and doesn't have an adjustable back leg, it does look nice though!

    VMO tripods (Veals)

I can't hike either, my rods are 13ft and 12ft, so looking for light but sturdy, I won't be fishing in any gales on purpose! After six consecutive blanks, I am beginning to realise that Cornish fish are very selective in who can catch them:(

    VMO tripods (Veals)

Is it sturdy(ish)? Would you recommend it? I like the idea it's small to transport

Anyone with thoughts about these tripods please? Thinking of the 3' to 6' pro one, looks ok
