I used to work in a factory about 100 yards away from Wilcove jetty back in the early 70s It used to produce some very big conger back then and somewhere in the depths is an old rod and reel of mine I lost to a big eel there. Have learnt to always set the clutch now lol

a goodly session there I hope we have a better flounder season here in Poole this year. what with bass, cormorants and seals, the flounders have taken a right bollocking the last 3 or 4 years

great to get out on a calm day and catch different species. Well done

15/09/21 haven't been out on a boat for ages and managed to snaffle a place with a mate out of Poole yesterday. the plan was to catch some mackerel then go on the bass hunt. local reports were that mackerel were fetching a higher price than bass at the market so confidence wasn't too high...
