Plaice weather...

Catch well Pete. I was at Cogden last night. very doggy! Tide was a bit ferocious as well. Moon was a bit bright for the sole, though I caught a dab which always cheers me up. One of the 2lb cods on the last cast which was safely returned.

I found it tough today just before the cottages. A Gurnard, a couple of dogs and a couple of mini codling. Very weedy, moved down to one rod. I suspect if I could have got a few more yards then I might have cast over the weed, but I had to clean it off a couple of times every retrieve...

In Lockdown I was tempted by a spool of very expensive tapered line, to avoid the dread Leader Knot/weed thing which drives me a bit scatty. Annoying at the best of times, it becomes devastating when having to clear the leader knot results in the loss of a good fish. Anyway I haven't tried it...
