South Coast Flounder hunt and PB bass.

Hi Goatee blank ,itslike that in the river Medina here on the Isle of Wight, once a great flounder hotspot, you could guarantee a flounder catch, not now they cleaned the Medina up & the flounder went !!!!

When you say cleaned up do you mean sanitised? Pollution and chemical load is at an all time high. Look at hhe crap that comes down our rivers then think of what comes in around the globe. In fact don't. It's too depressing

Dredged, or stopped sewage outfalls maybe?

I know our cod fishing suffered when they moved our local sewage pipes way offshore ...those hotspots were no more ☹️

Lymington River, sea end, used to hold lots of fish. There was a chicken factory up past the quay. When they "sorted a few things out at the factory". The fishing tailed off, then it was dredged. That all had an effect. There are still fishing boats moored in the quay, so it may be better again now. Sure the chicken factory drains were a food source.

Similar here Goatee - there used to be a Scallop processing factory on the quayside years ago, and all of the waste Scallop frills used to go down a pipe into the Harbour. Used to be some great fishing around there! 👍👍

A guy who was something to do with the Brixham trawlers turned up to a BBQ a few years back with a box of Monkfish tails & cooked them on the BBQ - first time I'd tried it! Delicious - pure Fishy food porn! 😋😋😋
