A couple of Plaice rigs is something I need to make - can't find the ones I used last. Thanks for the info @Reevsey. 👍👍

If your fishing slapton , Beesands way i find green n black a better combination of beads . If the spiders are in bagnall bar is easier to replace trace ive also used 80lb braid on last 6 inches of trace to try n beat the feckers

Beesands has not produced any bags of plaice since 2019 as far as I am aware. Anyone on here heard anyone getting more than a couple a session since 2019?.
I agree with you Pete . Beesands and slapton aren't as good now .wierd cos the skerries is still a good place for plaice and its only a mile or so off shore . Last decant fish i had from Beesands was a small tope in may 2020 .

Nope! I wouldn’t waste my fuel personally.
Problem is, despite living near the sea here, Beesands/Slapton is the nearest shingle beach or accessible beach at all really, to fish from.
Nearest one heading West is Seaton, and that's worse than Beesands. Blanked every time I've been there.
Fishing in general around the South West coast of Devon has gone to pot unless you want to catch loads of small Pout & 'tings.
I was out at Beesands quite a few times with John in 2021, and only one day did we have shoals of Mackerel about.

Yes if it’s local to you there’s not a lot of other options I realise.

I’ve often thought a lot of the south Devon fishing is pretty poor and some areas like Torbay you’re actually quite limited on what marks you can use.
I know you’re Plymouth obviously

I think everyone remembers the mega bags in 2018 since then its been shite unless your after spotty rays on the Autumn when I have heard of a couple of good bags.
I also know of a bass specialist who likes it on big spring Autumn tides.

I've never fished Torbay, but I think Bob has had some decent results, especially for his species hunt.
The likes of Hope's nose & Berry head aren't easy to get to, unless in the peak of fitness & youth, and they frequently get rammed with foreigners filling dustbins with undersized fish.
I think John has got a few good local marks, especially for Bass, but no chance of me getting near them.
