North East Rat House Sunderland, Sunday 18th

Best advice I can offer. Keep your hooks small, don't get caught up in the thinking you have to cast to the horizon to get fish, the fish don't know how much money you have spent on your rod and reel, if you are fishing for big stuff you usually catch less or blank, look at what others are doing and do your research, but go your own way and do what works for you, take the adages that your bait needs to be nailed to the bottom to catch this and you cant catch that on a lure, etc, with a pinch of salt, something I like when targeting particular species is catching the "bonus fish" that is one I had not considered or expected to catch. That happens regularly. Good luck and well done on the whiting.
