    East Coast Flattie Session

i was actually pretty surprised how chunky they were as they're normally flat as a pancake and spent once they come back in.

    East Coast Flattie Session

Decided to have a bash for flatties with a mate yesterday seeing as we're finally free ?. Choice of venue: St Andrews West Sands. Arrive about 2hrs before low tide with intensions of scanning around for all kinds of fish loving features as hadn't seen this beach in god knows how long... straight...

Always wanted to try braid. but mainly using multi's and seeing and hearing horror stories of it makes me wary

    (Curiosity) "Go to rigs"

Only thing I could think of from that hint/description on making it work is a sliding stop on weight side of the pulley bead to lock the snood unless a fish is on the other end then it would slip with pressure as normal? If so that’s pretty clever

    (Curiosity) "Go to rigs"

Was sitting pondering the other night whilst building rigs what everyone else uses most. Gave me the idea of seeing what everyone considers their main "Go to" when out. what would you say is your most used rigs? Personally my most used rigs are Pulley rigs or 2 hook flappers.

I tend to have a roll of hockey tape in my box for patching up.

(Opinions needed please) Titan Matchman XL Rod Holdall

Still contemplating. Swayed towards the Titan though, as no zips to go wrong and the amount of space for future rogue rod purchases ?

    Rubbish

A few marks around here are like that. really irritates me.. if you can carry out to a mark heavy and full surely you can carry it all back lighter. usually have a wander around picking bits up while im waiting on bites or before i leave.

(Opinions needed please) Titan Matchman XL Rod Holdall

I hope it’s not the case ? I normally use Velcro straps on my spinning rod. ?

(Opinions needed please) Titan Matchman XL Rod Holdall

Thanks for the info Mike. One of the things I liked was it being zipless. From past experiences I know zips don’t tend to enjoy salt air/spray. The fact you bought a second one tells me they must be decent??

(Opinions needed please) Titan Matchman XL Rod Holdall

This was the exact scenario I was in. So went with the whole “if you don’t ask, you’ll never know approach” ?
